I found a backup DVD with my first version of WoW on it.  Version 0.6 back in April 2004. I only had one character then, Kazark, who lives on, at least as much as any toon can.  Love that old application icon too.

Here’s my Death Knight Nï with Alexstrasza, the red dragon Queen and her consort, Krasus. Considering the queen is a dragon and can look like anything she wants, I think she’s chosen a good look for herself. Kind of slutty but dangerous, in a demonic kind of way.

If you could look like anyone in WoW, who would you choose?

I’ve taken to playing Wintergrasp primarily for the fun of it. The advantages to me are 1) I know when it will start, i.e. no waiting for a group or queue, just the timer, 2) I know how long it will last (20 minutes max) and 3) it’s epic fun with mass numbers of people (well, mass numbers of alliance on our server).

The mass numbers of people is key. As a mage, I’m dead if anyone singles me out. The massive body count hides me well and I can AoE to my heart’s content. In Battlegrounds of 10 or so, I’m just a quick honor point. In Wintergrasp I’m a flaming death bomb.

I don’t even have to wait for the portal for it to start, I can just fly into the zone in advance, regardless of who controls it. Wintergrasp is all about freedom from constraints.

While flying through Icecrown a while back, I found this doodad floating in the air.  It’s a circle of chairs in the air, which has since been removed.  I wasn’t able to click on or sit on them, but they were there and even got a name when they were moused over, “Doodad_GeneralChairLoEnd02″.
Seen any other weird bugs or things floating around?  Given the enormity of WoW, I’m surprised there isn’t more stuff like this.

It looks like one of Kazark’s early trips into Blackrock Spire, where some of the old Dogcows defeated The Beast.  I see Marvis there, and El Weirdo, Bish, Anna, Term, Dejah, Yethner, Dragonwarr and Stormtalon. A lot of them are still active in the guild <FortyTwo> while several are retired.  Kaz is wearing his Mooncloth Robe, so this is before he got his Big Blue Dress.

Amusingly enough, Kazark can now solo Blackrock Spire.

We’re an adult casual guild with years of experience in World of Warcraft. We started in beta, before WoW was released and we’ve been active since the first day of retail. We’ve had people leave and people join, but we keep on playing. Most of our members have multiple level 80 toons at this point, so we share knowledge and experience, as well as our web site, vent server and bank slots.

We’re also looking for a new raid leader to revive our casual raiding effort. Wrath of the Lich King has much better support for casual raiding than Burning Crusade did, so we’re looking to take advantage of that.
